My Story
Since childhood, I have had a fascination with the night sky. Astronomy has long been an interest of mine and now I get to enjoy it from my home observatory during my retirement years. The beauty of astronomy is that you are always learning something new, and you can share what you learn with others. Years ago, I had a small refractor telescope to observe and take pictures of the moon and planets with my 35mm camera. I recall running back and forth from the photo shop to get my film developed, hoping I had captured what I had seen through the eyepiece. Years later, after helping my wife raise our two children, I got more serious about the hobby and bought an 11” Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope to explore the heavens. Following retirement, I have purchased multiple telescopes and imaging cameras and learned many new techniques to explore the night sky from my Orlando suburban home observatory atop our garage or by using my small travel setup.
